The philosophy behind MvsM is to push back on the wake of disposable products that surround us all and bring lasting quality products to people at an affordable price.

I don’t mean to disappoint, but here you will not find a family lineage of cabinet makers, guild workers or carpenters. You will not find a heart felt origin story of my grandfather showing me how to make birdhouses or carve wooden spoons. You will not find a mysterious claim of being self made.

What you will find is an individual who finds a deeper meaning in the arts. I found that artistic expression offered the most fulfilling purpose in my life. Whether that expression is through music or woodworking, I found my own solace within the confines of the struggle that is creation.

This is likely telling of my age, but when I was a kid, skateboarding was considered a crime. Building ramps and grind rails and such taught us kids how to build our own world. Ultimately what I learned was that when life produced obstacles, I could build my own way around it. Uniting utility, beauty and craftsmanship became my own true north.

My goal is to design and build for you what will hopefully provide functionality, beauty and conversations for years to come.

Every build I do teaches me something new about myself and this world we live in. So let’s extend our handshakes and if only for a moment, see what we can accomplish together.
